We are running a sizeable tab at the vet's... 4 days hospitalisation for Hammond, our old ginger boy, who had to have a bad abscess lanced and treated, then Lynx got all floppy and wouldn't eat... took him to the vet and he was running a temp of 39.9 deg (that'a apparently really VERY high for a cat) and after blood and urine samples were analysed, the vet said he had a very sore back and a bacterial kidney infection. A few days of medication and special food and he is currently on the mend, and although far from 100%, he is at least capable of jumping up onto the bed, which is progress.
My dear daughter is currently writing her final high school exams, but somehow still found the time to shoot this video with her friends a few days ago. She worked day and night to put it all together, and here it is on YouTube: [link] do have a look and a giggle (not for the faint-hearted)
*** Be advised this is a parody
During the course of last week the date passed on which my late father would have turned 100 years old; quite poignant... and an added depressant to the mix {{ sigh }}
I am almost too scared to mention this, but we are missing a kitty, who went walk-about rather too many days ago and we've lost all trace of him. Phoned two local vets, asked around the neighbours; nobody has seen him. It's our special boy Felix [link] and we are HEARTBROKEN with dispair over what might have befallen him.
