It's not that I hate rain - I know our country desperately needs the water, but it spoils the fun of running around outdoors with a camera
I see with nauseating guilt that my last journal entry was from well over one month ago and I have nothing much to report! Oh okay - the weather is turning wintry here at the southern-most tip of Africa and last night our house leaked in many places, making the tiled area at the bottom of the stairs very slippery and it's now covered in soggy newspapers. It also chose to leak directly onto a beautiful Persian Rug I inherited from my parents' flat... in the middle of the night I ran out and threw a towel over it and by morning the white towel was completely discoloured with reds and yellows and greens that had leaked out of the woollen carpet
The cold front that came over our area brought with it unseasonal thunder and lightning; crucially one lightning strike seemed to come down hitting a tall tree literally across the road from us and the resultant crack of thunder was the very loudest I have *ever* witnessed. Poor Kira, our youngest cat - the one who got electrocuted at the age of 3 months - was totally freaked out and with eyes huge slunk around the lounge, tail to the floor and hid from us; she would not let me come near, nor pick her up, but kept leopard-crawling to hide under furniture. I'm wondering whether the electfic storm brought back memories of electrocution in her? Is this possible?
Poor baby
On Friday some moron thought it clever to write me an e-mail bragging how it had taken her all of 10 minutes to remove my copyright watermark off one of my pictures. It's sadly f*knuts like this who spoil the game... all I can say is : if you can't play fair, go play with yourself.
Last night I had a fluffy movie cuddle-fest and lay in my cozy bed watching Just like Heaven followed by Pretty Woman - ok ok, for the 7th time... granted, it's a Chick Flick, but oh, I love it
I am still not able to keep up with thanking all of you for your great comments and
I visited my mum this morning, to bring her clean laundry and pay her a visit. She asks the same questions over and over and has little recollection of anything happening around her. Very sad.
So : I wish you all a great week ahead; be productive and creative and happy

But if you'd like to copy your copyright rant as a text file, then could you maybe just mail it to me as a PM? I'd love to read what you have to say.
As for the imbecile who somehow despite not having two braincells to their name, figured out how to send you that email...I'm picturing some pimply 12-year-old on his Dad's computer who gets a rise out of insulting people and will eventually end up on America's Most Wanted....just a thought.
Big hugs to you and the kitties, hun.
Ah, thanks! I feel a bit better now
Sorry about your dad passing away... I know how hard it is going through all the belongings, selling furniture, keeping some stuff.
I'm usually fond of the rainy weather, it makes me lazy and want to curl up on the couch and do nothing, but I guess too much rain is never a good thing, especially with a leaky roof...XD I hope the rug wasn't damaged.
Yeah, I still can't believe there are idiots like that. For one thing, they don't have a life enough to go around removing people's watermarks, but they have to send and email and brag about it? Talk about being proud of literally nothing. I'm sorry you have to deal with people like that, especially with all that you have going on.
^__^ Awww, those movies are so sweet! I always love a good chick flick, but my friends hates it when I drag his to watch it with me, I guess that's why they call it a chick flick...XD
Well, I hope the weather improves for you, and that whatever idiot though it was a good idea to taunt the fact that they have an extremely huge ego based on the fact that they have no life will leave you alone from now on. And that poor Kira feels better. ^__^
THANK YOU - you are a true tonic for my soul! You have no idea how much your note cheered me up. It's 6:30am, pitch dark, very cold and raining outside and I have to get up now to start the day. Just checked in quickly to see what news here is, and this wonderful thoughtful comment of yours really means so much to me. MANY thanks for being so thoughtful and for being truly supportive.
Lots of
Oh, how awful about the carpet! I sympathize.......a bad storm here a few weeks back caused my small flat to take in water. I need to have the carpets cleaned, but I am thankful it was not worse. Many people had whole bottom levels of their homes completely submerged.
What on earth was that person thinking?? Augh! how very perplexing. Obviously there are some very rotten individuals out there. Do not let it get you down though; everything comes full circle...one reaps what one sows
Sorry to hear about your mum. I hope she is being well cared for.
Cheers
There certainly is a shift in weather conditions globally; it's becoming more and more noticeable which is very worrying to us all.
As for jerks in the universe : your husband totally agrees with your sentiments and says I should let it go and leave it up to Karma to sort her out!!
