Only a few minutes after I took this photo, the plane went down, tragically killing pilot Dave Stock.

edit : this is an English Electric Lightning, used by the RAF during the 60's and decommissioned in 1988, if I'm not mistaken. Sir Richard Branson flew in it (with this pilot) in an attempt to break his vertical climb record.
